The Royal Race Track
The RRT is it is known by the majority of the population of Corvis, or just “The Royal” by those of a more upper class blood line, is the only place to see “proper” horse racing in the North of Cygnar. The track is a short ride from the southern gates and is on an open flat piece of land that allows easy and free access to watch the races. There are also two grandstands to watch the races from, one for those who have a few pennies to spare and wish to sit in the shade (or out of the rain), and one for those who have far more than a few pennies to spare and don’t want their posh race day clothing getting muddied up the riffraff.
Races are usually run every second Thursday of the month starting in Mid Spring and continuing through to early Autumn, or longer if the weather holds out. While most of the races are run on the flat their a couple of steeplechases each year where fences are erected along the course. The course itself is 3 kilometres in length.
The Track also has extensive stables that serve as pre and post race containment of the horses and also beyond that there is section that is rented out for long term care and stabling of those that do not have room on their estate to keep their horse(s).
