Fetter Lane City Jail
Fetter Lane consists of two large multistory buildings. The one closest to the river is called The
Pit. It was the original city jail, now modified, reinforced, and used for the most dangerous and hardened criminals. The one next to it simply known as the Duke’s Jail, and holds women prisoners, children prisoners, and anyone guilty of petty crimes or with short sentences. The barrier between both buildings has been heavily reinforced by a whole team of wizards and gifted individuals.
There are a series of lights that burn over the main doors of both The Pit and the Duke’s Jail. When
a new inmate is sentenced to The Pits, that light is filtered with a red lens. When a new inmate is sentence to the Duke’s Jail, the light is filtered with a green light for women, and a blue light for men. Red and green lights in particular often stir up quite a bit of rumor mongering and controversy as citizens speculate about who went in and why. Whenever the light over The Pits goes out, it means someone is scheduled to be executed that day at dusk.
